Company launches 2007-08 subscription season in Birmingham

Birmingham Royal Ballet has launched its new season at Birmingham Hippodrome, with new subscription packages for the whole year now on sale. Tickets for individual shows go on sale 20 April. See below for further details.

While the season features all the productions BRB is due to perform in Birmingham, many of the shows will also be performed by the Company on tour. Autumn dates in Plymouth and Sunderland, and Spring dates in Oxford already on sale, with full details available in the 'What's On' section of the website.

On the new season, BRB's Director David Bintley said; 'The exciting thing at the moment is the Company. You can see now that the youngsters are really starting to get going with Principal roles, and I don't want to name names but I think that the whole Company is really moving into a different gear. Next year is going to be testing every aspect of that, it really is - everything from big new works like Michael Corder's Baiser de la fée, classics like Swan Lake and Giselle, heritage works, a jazz programme, a bit of Twyla Tharp and a new Frederick Ashton piece - you just don't get a much broader repertory than that.'
