Jane Rosier
Jane joined Sadlers Wells Royal Ballet in 1981 and was promoted to first solist in 1991 when Sadlers Wells Royal Ballet relocated to Birmingham and became BRB. She retired from the ballet in 1994 and immediately returned to her home town of London to retrain as a Scenic Artist, gaining a Higher National Diploma in Design Interpretation at the Central School of Speech and Drama, Swiss Cottage, London.
Between 1996 and 2002, Jane became the mother of two children and devoted herself full time to the demands and delights of family life! Since then, Jane has pursued a career as a part time contemporary artist, a choreographer and a ballet teacher. She is passionate about the arts being accessible and relevant, which has led to solo and group exhibitions of her artwork, small scale amateur productions, and youth theatre.
Jane joined the project in March 2006, to support Desmond Kelly and Marion Tait in the teaching, training and encouragement of the young people in the rehearsals for the production of Romeo and Juliet - a ballet which Jane herself loved when she danced in it 10 years ago!
