Legal Restrictions to Employment in the United Kingdom

Immigration

Anyone applying for these vacancies should be aware that there are certain legal restrictions that apply to taking up employment in the UK.

In order to comply with Section 8 of the Asylum and Immigration Act 1996, it is our policy to request that all shortlisted candidates provide documentation to support their right to live and work in the UK (e.g. P60, National Insurance Card, birth certificate or passport).

It will only be possible for Birmingham Royal Ballet to apply for work permits from the British Government (Department for Work and Pensions) if there are no suitable candidates who are normally resident in the UK or who are nationals of the European Economic Area (EU States plus Norway and Iceland).

Birmingham Royal Ballet complies with the Data Protection Act 1998. Your details/CV will be used for recruitment purposes only and will not be passed to any other organisation. All details will be kept for 12 months in case of other suitable opportunities arising within BRB, and will then be destroyed.
