All Spring 2007 tour dates now on sale
December 1, 2006
All venues on BRB's spring tour are now on sale, with tickets available for all 2007 performances of Cyrano and Stravinsky! a Celebration 2007.
The tour is set to be one of the Company's largest of the season, with performances in Birmingham, Salford, Plymouth, Sunderland and recently-added Oxford.
Cyrano is being created by BRB's own Director, David Bintley, whose recent works include 2004's visually stunning jazz piece Orpheus, and the fairy-tale drama Beauty and the Beast. The latter, thanks to a UK tour and two sell-out Christmases in Birmingham, has now been seen by nearly 80,000 people.
Stravinsky! a Celebration 2007 meanwhile, features three works from the partnership of composer Igor Stravinsky and choreographer George Balanchine. Each of the three pieces, Agon, Stravinsky Violin Concerto and Symphony in Three Movements, concentrate on dance and motion, with Stravinsky's infamously mesmeric scores and Balanchine's trademark focus on the movement of the performers.
Booking information and further details on each ballet can be found by visiting the 'What's On' section of the BRB website, or by clicking on any of the underlined links above.
