Newly appointed Director of LearningPearl Chesterman is BRB's new Director of Learning and commences her post in February. She succeeds Anne Gallacher who is to join Watford Palace Theatre as its new Executive Director. In the past Pearl has successfully run a number of ballet schools before joining BRB in 2002 and has worked on key projects including the BRB Summer School, boys only workshops, Dance Track, Freefall Dance Company and Safahr, a creative partnerships project. Pearl Chesterman said; 'As the Company now moves on from the highly acclaimed Channel 4 Documentary series Ballet Changed My Life: Ballet Hoo! I am excited by the opportunity to lead the department in identifying and utilising all the talent and skill BRB can offer to provide opportunities that are relevant and accessible for all communities'. Christopher Barron, Chief Executive said; 'I am delighted to welcome Pearl as BRB's Director of Learning. Pearl brings a wealth of invaluable experience to the Education Department - a department that ensures that BRB is an accessible resource to the wider community.
