Robert Parker's final performances confirmed
May 31, 2007
Robert Parker's final performances with Birmingham Royal Ballet have now been confirmed. He will perform in both Pineapple Poll and Nine Sinatra Songs at the Lowry, Salford, on the evening of Saturday 7 July 2007.
Tickets for this performance are already on sale, with booking details available here.
Robert is also due to perform as part of the Company's summer season in Birmingham, with full cast details available here. He then joins the Company in the South West of England before heading to Salford for his final shows.
Robert joined Birmingham Royal Ballet in 1994 and became a Principal in 1999. He has often been described as David Bintley's muse during his time with BRB, with the Company's Director creating a number of roles on the dancer, including The Beast in Beauty and the Beast, Hamlet in The Shakespeare Suite, and the title role in the recent new production of Cyrano.
When he leaves the Company, he will be moving to America with his wife Rachel Peppin, also a former dancer with Birmingham Royal Ballet, to pursue a career as a commercial airline pilot.
