'Studio to Stage' Insight days

An opportunity for dance students to work with Birmingham Royal Ballet

Studio to Stage is a series of three insight days giving ballet students the unique opportunity to work with Birmingham Royal Ballet dancers and ballet staff and experience professional training.

The course is intended to assist young dancers to achieve their full potential and offers an insight into life with a professional ballet company.

Ballet teachers are also welcome to come and observe their students participate in the Insight days, which will be held in Birmingham Royal Ballet Studios at the Birmimgham Hippodrome.

Autumn season

Insight Day 1: In the Studio

All girls' places sold out, some boys' places still available
10.00 - 5.00 (31 August 2008)
(A day of technique, training and coaching)
Deadline for application: Thursday 31 July 2008

Insight Day 2: Stage Craft

All girls' places sold out, some boys' places still available
10.00 – 5.30 (28 September 2008)
(Creating roles; expressive and performing skills)
Deadline for application: Thursday 28 August 2008

Insight Day 3: On the Stage

All girls' places sold out, some boys' places still available
10.00 - 5.30 (21 December 2008)
(An opportunity to learn Birmingham Royal Ballet's repertoire)
Deadline for application: Friday 21 November 2008

Eligibility

To be eligible for the Studio to Stage Insight Days, applicants must be working at RAD Intermediate Foundation/Grade 6 and above (or equivalent syllabus), and must not be in full time ballet training.

Prices:

The fee per Insight day will be £35, with a discounted price of £90 available if a student applies for all three Insight Days in one season at the same time (£15 discount).
