Department for LearningSpring reportIt has been a very busy spring for Dance Track with more than 45 workshops in affiliated Dance Track schools and seeing nearly 1400 children having a go at dance. The final workshop day for schools in the south of Birmingham took place on Sunday 11 May, where nearly 100 children visited the Birmingham Royal Ballet studios hoping to be invited to join the programme. The high standard of children at the workshops made it very difficult to find the 40 children to start the programme in September at Queensbridge Visual and Performing Arts College. After the final workshop day for schools in the north on Sunday 8 June, 20 children have now been invited to join the programme starting in September with classes at Holte Visual and Performing Arts College. |
