Elmhurst to hold open auditions in China

Elmhurst School for Dance, Birmingham Royal Ballet's associated ballet school, has announced an open audition for the school in Beijing this week, as part of Birmingham Royal Ballet's current tour of China.
Birmingham Royal Ballet's Communications Director Keith Longmore said: 'Alongside the presentation of world-class performances, we are also pleased to be able to offer the young people of China the opportunity to audition at the prestigious Elmhurst School for Dance. The school has a fine range of facilities for the training of young dancers and we currently have 5 Elmhurst students on tour with the Company.'
The School is seeking students, both male and female, aged from 16 years, for its three-year course which includes learning English as a second Language.
The school's Artistic Director and former Assistant Director of Birmingham Royal Ballet, Desmond Kelly OBE, will be holding auditions at Beijing's National Centre for Performing Arts, Friday 16 January at 1.30pm.
