June 2009 update

Birmingham Royal Ballet's Head of Creative Learning, Lee Fisher, spoke last week about Freefall Dance Company's recent activity.

'Spring turned out to be another busy season for Freefall,' he said. 'With two performances at the Patrick Centre of their new full length piece Freefalling from Outer Space, four local schools, vips, new and loyal fans of the company enjoyed a piece described by David Bintley as 'Wonderful –funny, touching and thought provoking'.

'In the weeks following the performance, Freefallers led dance workshops in four special schools across the City. The work will culminate with the schools sharing their own dances along side Freefall in the Patrick Centre on 18 June.'

Upcoming performances and events

The company has been invited to perform at Birmingham’s Town Hall on the 25th June for the Artsmark Celebration Event.

Performing at Fox Hollies School as part of the Kings Health Floral Trail on 4th July.

Freefall will perform Nightshade to open Youth Sport Trusts first ever dance conference at Walsall Football Ground on the 10th July 2009.
