How we use cookies

When someone visits www.brb.org.uk we collect standard internet log information and details of visitor behaviour patterns using Google Analytics. We do this to find out things such as the number of visitors to the various parts of the site and we use the information gathered to improve the site and the online materials we offer. What happens when you give us your personal details

When you sign up for our e-bulletins, make a donation or join one of our membership schemes online, we protect the information you give us to the best of our abilities. While we cannot ensure or guarantee that loss, misuse or alteration of information will not occur, we use our best efforts to prevent this. We use WorldPay to handle all our credit and debit card transactions, so we don't hold any financial information gathered over the internet ourselves. Any personal information we do handle is encrypted with secure server software (SSL) so that your details cannot be read as they are transferred to us over the internet.

The information we collect is then used in the following ways:

To make sure we have an accurate record of all donations received and memberships purchased
To carry out research on our donors' demographics, interests and behaviour
To email you with news and information
