Special guest for Cyrano
19 August 2009
Former Birmingham Royal Ballet Principal Iain Mackay will be appearing as a special guest for the Company's autumn performances of Cyrano, dancing in Birmingham, Belfast and London.
He will perform the title role and also that of Cyrano's love rival Christian, a character which Iain himself created for the ballet's premiere in 2007.
Born in Glasgow, Iain was a dancer with Birmingham Royal Ballet from 1999 until 2008, when he moved to Madrid with wife and fellow Company dancer Sylvia Jiminez. His return means that the five members of Birmingham Royal Ballet who created Cyrano's principal roles in 2007 will be reunited on the stage this autumn.

Update: Please note that Iain will be performing in Birmingham, Belfast and London, and NOT Plymouth as previously stated.
