Dance Track

Dance Track provides free ballet classes for children in Birmingham that show potential talent in dance, but would not normally have the opportunity to develop their potential as dancers.

We aim to impart a love of dance and strong technique that will enable them to follow other Dance Track children to Elmhurst School for Dance and the Royal Ballet School.

Each year the programme visits 30 affiliated schools in Birmingham to provide workshops for all children in Year 1. After these workshops, approximately 200 children are invited for final workshop days at the Birmingham Royal Ballet studios to find the 60 lucky children for the programme starting in September.

The weekly classes are hosted by Holte and Queensbridge Visual and Performing Arts Colleges in Lozells and Moseley and taught by ex Birmingham Royal Ballet dancers.
