Director’s Appeal

New ballets are the beating heart of Birmingham Royal Ballet and are vital if are to maintain our exceptional standards of artistic creation and ability to entertain our audiences around the world.

I conceived the Director’s Appeal so that you can get closer to the Company and learn more about the process of producing a ballet while making a donation towards its costs. It will give you the opportunity to experience the joy of new stories and new choreography like never before.

New ballets are only possible with the generosity of hundreds of people, and each and every donation, no matter the size, will make a huge difference to us. You have my heartfelt thanks for your support, and I look forward to seeing you at the ballet soon.

David Bintley
Director, Birmingham Royal Ballet

'The Director’s Appeal has enabled me to play a part in the creative process. It has and continues to be a privilege to witness new works that will eventually sit alongside the Company’s classic pieces.'
Stella, Gold Barre donor

'There wouldn’t be much for us to watch if dancers stood still. They need the challenge and stimulus of new work. Supporting the Director’s Appeal shows that we care about the future of the Company.'
Keith and Pamela, Director’s Appeal members
