Taking and exploring themes from horror and film noir movies, an abstract piece that demonstrates the versatility of Freefall, the dancers’ ease at embracing all dance genres and the emotional intensity they can portray. Created in 2007 using original composition by Richard Syner and video footage of Freefall’s choreography as a starting-point, the music for Nightshade was created by Mary Martin (Royal Ballet Sinfonia), Michael Dollan (Sage Gateshead) and the pupils of Fox Hollies School. Filmed by Rob Lindsay.
