Swan Direction Creative Dance Project for Key Stage 2, Salford, Sunderland and Plymouth

These Key Stage 2 workshops offered pupils a unique opportunity to explore themes and characters from the classic ballet. The project introduced pupils to the ballet’s steps and mime, and gave children the chance to create their own motifs to music.

Dancers Liz Foster, Colin Sangster and Susie Tate led the workshops in Salford and Sunderland, accompanied by pianist Helen Watkinson. Company dancer Jonathan Payn led the workshop in Plymouth, where the project even made it into the school’s newsletter, which can be viewed by clicking here.
