Michael Corder visit

Michael Corder has been visiting the Company at its home in Birmingham this week.

Responsible for the forthcoming new production of Le Baiser de le fée, to be performed by Birmingham Royal Ballet as part of Stravinsky: the real deal in summer 2008, Michael has been watching class and rehearsals in order to cast the different roles in his new piece.

Stravinsky's score has proved popular with composers over the years, with a number of versions having been produced to it, however a definitive ballet has never risen above the rest. Little is known about the new choreography, however Birmingham Royal Ballet's recent Stravinsky performances have been met with great critical acclaim, so expectation are understandably high.
