Additional choreographics participant confirmed
February 22, 2007
Aonghus Hoole, Artist with Birmingham Royal Ballet, has been confirmed as the final participant in the forthcoming BRB choreographics project. The project consists of three performances over the weekend 2 - 3 June 2007, featuring new works created exclusively by dancers from the Company.
Aonghus (click here to read his biography) joins fellow Artists Samara Downs, Kit Holder, Jenny Murphy, Glyn Scott and Nathanael Skelton, and First Soloist Kosuke Yamamoto, who will all be contributing pieces to the performances.
While the pieces are all still in the early stages, initial rehearsals are due to begin at the end of March, when the Company completes its current tour of David Bintley's new production of Cyrano, and the triple bill, Stravinsky! a Celebration 2007. As part of the Company's celebration of the composer Igor Stravinsky, all the ballets in the choreographics project will be created to his music.
All tickets for the shows cost £10, and are already on sale on a strictly first-come, first-served basis. You can secure your seats by telephone or in person through Birmingham Hippodrome ticket sales, or on-line through the venue's website. Click here for further details.
