Jenny Murphy joins BRB Education department
September 6, 2007
Birmingham Royal Ballet Artist Jenny Murphy has joined the Company's Education department as Ballet Education Co-ordinator.
Jenny has been with BRB since 2001, and recently contributed choreography to Dynamic Dance, a programme of Company-created ballet. She has previously worked with the education department as a dancer, and is extensively involved with Freefall Dance Company.
Pearl Chesterman, Director of Learning, said of the appointment: 'Jenny is already well known to the Education department following her regular work with Freefall and in schools and other outreach programmes, and we are delighted to welcome her into this full-time post. Transitions like this allow the department to offer consistently high level of dance expertise to the children and adults that we work with, as well as highlighting the strong links between the performance and non-performance aspects of the Company's work.'
