Robert Heindel exhibition
03 September 2009
A very special exhibition of drawings and paintings by dance artist Robert Heindel opens next month in London.
Described by David Bintley as 'the greatest painter of dance since Degas', Heindel was synonymous with the ballet, receiving widespread international recognition both in the worlds of dance and art.
His studies of dancers in rehearsal were the result of numerous personal invitations from many of the world's most famous ballet companies with whom he subsequently worked.
These projects included designs for a host of Bintley ballets, including The Dance House and Still Life at the Penguin Café, both of which the Company performed earlier this year.
Housed in the beautiful new Halcyon Gallery, this new exhibition represents the most complete collection of the artist's work to go on display in the UK. Many of the works have never been publicly displayed before.
For audiences and art collectors in the Midlands, Castle Fine Art in the ICC will be shadowing the exhibition, with a selection of Heindel prints. Click here for full contact details.
