2010 sees not one but TWO brand-new tellings of the fairytale ballet!

David Bintley's new production of Cinderella opens at Birmingham Hippodrome in November. But as part of that season Birmingham Royal Ballet will also be a staging a second version of the ballet, with the same score, on the same scale and with the same ambitious production values... but with a very different choreographic team.

Following the success of Ballet Hoo!, Birmingham Royal Ballet has been working with Birmingham Youth Services and Birmingham Association of Youth Clubs to develop another exciting project for young people – Ballet, Birmingham and Me (BB&Me).

The journey has already seen young people from across Birmingham participate in, create, lead, and watch dance activities whilst learning about all aspects of producing professional performances. Now, with the assistance of dancers from Birmingham Royal Ballet, the young people are creating their own version of Cinderella. While they have clear ideas as to what they want to achieve, they now have only months in which to accomplish it.
