Yijing Zhang
Yijing Zhang was born in China and trained at the Beijing Dance Academy and Hamburg Ballet School. She
won first prize in the China Ballet Competition (2006), the 34th Prix de Lausanne and a gold medal at the
Shanghai International Ballet Competition (2007). She joined Birmingham Royal Ballet in 2008 and her
repertory includes The Nutcracker (Snow Fairy, Mother), Coppélia (Prayer, Swanilda's
friends) and Swan Lake (Spanish dance).
