Delia Mathews



Delia Mathews was born in New Zealand and trained with Prue and Debbie Gooch, at the Dance Education Centre and then at the Royal Ballet School. She was awarded a Prix de Lausanne Laureate in 2007 and the Dame Ninette de Valois Award in 2008. She joined Birmingham Royal Ballet in 2008 and her repertory includes Galanteries, Enigma Variations (Isabel Fitton) and Sylvia (Huntress, Diana's Followers)

Alana Haines Australasian Award, 2005; second place, Young British Dancer of the Year, 2006, 2007); Jury's Special Award, Beijing Ballet Dance Schools' Invitational, 2006; Prix de Lausanne Laureate, 2007; Dame Ninette de Valois Award, 2008.
