Dusty Button was born in South Carolina, USA. She trained at the Jackie Kennedy Onassis School at American Ballet Theatre, winning the bronze medal at the Youth America Grand Prix in 2006. She joined the Royal Ballet School the following year, graduating with the Dame Ninette de Valois bursary and joining Birmingham Royal Ballet in 2008. With the Royal Ballet School her repertory included Galanteries and The Unwritten.
With Birmingham Royal Ballet her repertory includes The Firebird, The Centre and its Opposite, Swan Lake (Spanish Dance), Grosse Fuge, The Sleeping Beauty (Fairy of Temperament).
