Lewis Turner
Born in Leicester, Lewis Turner trained at Elmhurst School for Dance. He was awarded a Prix de
Lausanne scholarship in January 2010 and completed his year-long apprenticeship prize with Birmingham Royal
Ballet before joining the Company. He also won the Contemporary Dance prize. As a student he danced with the
Company in Cyrano, Swan Lake, Slaughter on Tenth Avenue and Theme and Variations. His repertory
with Birmingham Royal Ballet includes Coppélia ('Call to Arms'), Carmina burana
(Seminarian), The Sleeping Beauty, The Nutcracker (Jack-in-the-box) and Beauty and the
Beast.
