Becs Andrews
Becs studied at the Wimbledon School of Art and the Ruskin School of Drawing and Fine Art, Oxford University.
She is a winner of the Linbury Biennial Prize for Stage Design. She is a designer for dance, opera, theatre,
film and television and holds the DARE Fellowship in Scenography (Opera North and Leeds University) where she
is exploring new ways of integrating multimedia in performance design.
Forthcoming and recent work include Remote (ROH2 New Dance Commissions); The Art of Not Looking
Back (Hofesh Shechter Company); Momo choreographed by Didy Veldman (Stadttheater Bern); and a
public art commission, Deluge for OverWorlds&Underworlds (2012 Cultural Olympiad). Her past
designs include La Serva Padrona and On The Rim of The World (both Royal Opera House); Jeff
Koons (ICA and tour); Untitlted (Hofesh Shechter Company); Session (Introdans, Netherlands);
Steel Magnolias (Dundee Rep); and Four Seasons: Winter (Yorkshire Sculpture Park for Opera
