Laura Day
Born in Cheltenham, Laura Day trained at Corraine Collins Dance Studios and the Royal Ballet School. As a
student she danced with Birmingham Royal Ballet in The Nutcracker. She was a finalist at the 2010
Adeline Genée Awards and has won several awards including The Phyllis Bedells Bursary (2009),
April Olrich Award for dynamic Performance (2009) and a RBS choreographic achievement award
(2011) She performed the Principal girl in the first movement of Concerto at the Royal Ballet
School end of year performance, 2010, and created the role of Greta Samsa in Arthur Pita's The
Metamorphosis, 2011. She joined Birmingham Royal Ballet in 2012.
