Ruth Brill



Born in Kent, Ruth Brill trained locally at the Judith Wilson School of Dance, before joining the Arts Educational School, Tring Park, and then English National Ballet School. She joined English National Ballet in 2008. Her awards include a Barbara Geoghegan award and a National Youth Ballet bronze statuette. She represented the UK in the 2008 Cecchetti International Ballet Competition and guested at the 2011 Cecchetti International Gala (Enigma Variations, (Dorabella) and Swan Lake (pas de quatre). She was the assistant ballet mistress to Antony Dowson for Feeling Groovy for the National Youth Ballet in 2011 and is currently choreographing for Midland Theatre Ballet. She joined Birmingham Royal Ballet in 2012.
