Delia Mathews

Delia Mathews was born in New Zealand and trained with Prue and Debbie Gooch, and at Dance Education Centre and the Royal Ballet School. She is a Laureate of the 2007 Prix de Lausanne and received the Dame Ninette de Valois Award (2008). She joined Birmingham Royal Ballet in 2008; First Artist, 2012, and her repertory includes The Nutcracker (Sugar Plum Fairy), Galanteries, Enigma Variations (Isabel Fitton), Sylvia (Huntress, Diana’s Followers), Cinderella (‘Winter’) and Coppélia (‘Prayer’).
