Philip Prowse

Philip Prowse studied at the Slade School of Fine Art and made his professional debut as a designer in 1961 at the Royal Opera House. Since 1970 he has been a director of the Citizens' Theatre, Glasgow, where he made his debut as a director in 1972. His first opera production, as a director, was in 1982 for Welsh National Opera. In 1995 he was appointed Head of Theatre Design at the Slade.
