Jennifer Tipton
Born in Ohio, Jennifer Tipton, studied English at Cornell University and dance in New York. She has worked extensively on and off Broadway in dance and theatre and for many dance companies, including works by Jerome Robbins, Antony Tudor, Jirí Kylián,
Paul Taylor, Dan Wagoner and Twyla Tharp. Her awards include an Obie, a Drama Desk, two Tony Awards and an Olivier Award for In the Upper Room. Her work in Britain includes The Merry Widow (WNO / Royal Opera), Romeo and Juliet (London Festival Ballet),
work with Dan Wagoner for London Contemporary Dance Theatre, Falstaff (Royal Opera), Dances of Albion, Dark Elegies, Return to the Strange Land, Giselle, La Ronde, Push Comes to Shove, The Concert (Royal Ballet), Così fan tutte, The Marriage of Figaro, Don Giovanni (Glyndebourne) and Hansel and Gretel, The Queen of Spades (WNO).
