Philip Ellis
Philip Ellis, Conductor, joined Birmingham Royal Ballet in 1990. He conducts extensively for
dance, also working with La Scala Ballet, Angel Corella Ballet, The Royal Ballet, ENB, Gothenburg Ballet,
Polish National Ballet and Kobayashi Ballet. His concert work includes guest conducting London Philharmonic,
Royal Philharmonic, BBC Philharmonic, St Petersburg Philharmonic, National Symphony of Mexico,
Württemburgische Philharmonie Reutingen, Neue Philharmonie Westfalen, Belgian National Orchestra,
Flanders Symphony, Western Australian Symphony and Sydney Symphony Orchestras. He has made many CD recordings
with the Philharmonic and Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. He is Musical Director for Lesley Garrett and the
Jersey Symphony Orchestra and was winner of the 1992 Leeds Conductors' Competition.
