David Morse



Born in Hitchin, David Morse, Video Archivist, graduated from the Royal Ballet School to The Royal Ballet and transferred to Sadler's Wells Royal Ballet, becoming a Principal Character Artist in 1989. He choreographed two works for the Company, Pandora and Birdscape. He has created roles in the Bintley repertory and his many Company roles include Alain and Widow Simone (La Fille mal gardée), Henry Hobson (Hobson's Choice), Lord Capulet (Romeo and Juliet), Dr Coppélius (Coppélia), Puck and Bottom (The Dream), the Dago (Façade), Carabosse (The Sleeping Beauty), Eros (Sylvia), the Corregidor (Le Tricorne), the Merchant (Beauty and the Beast), Kastchei (The Firebird) and the title role in Lazarus. He became the Company's Video Archivist in 1998 and continues to perform character roles with the Company. He is married to Ballet Mistress Marion Tait and retired from the Company in 2011.
