Andrea Tredinnick
Born in Kent, Andrea Tredinnick joined the Royal Ballet School at the age of
16. In 1987 she joined Sadler's Wells Royal Ballet (now BRB) and was
promoted to Soloist in 1991, First Soloist in 1994. Her principal roles
include Odette/Odile (Swan Lake),Waltz Girl (Serenade), Bethena Waltz (Elite Syncopations), Waltz
Girl (Serenade), the pas de deux from Concerto, Flowers of the Forest,
Symphony in Three Movements and Agon. Other leading roles include Lady
Elgar, Lady Mary and Isabel Fitton (Enigma Variations), Chinoiserie (The
Nutcracker Sweeties), Myrtha (Giselle), Rose Fairy, Snow Fairy and Arabian
Dance (The Nutcracker) and Theme 3 (The Four Temperaments), leading roles in
Symphonic Variations, Grosse Fuge, Birthday Offering, The Protecting Veil,
The Shakespeare Suite, Brahms Handel Variations, Choreartium and Bright
Young Things. She created leading roles in Libramenta and The Soldier's Tale
(Hindle). She was one of the first group of BRB dancers to become an MA in
Applied Dance in Education and the Community.
