Love and Loss

( Galanteries | The Dance House | The Dream )

At a glance
Two ballets by David Bintley accompany a classic from Frederick Ashton. Galanteries is sublime pure dance to sublime music by Mozart, and The Dance House is a a beautiful and powerful meditation on death.

In Ashton's The Dream, hilarious havoc ensues when Oberon, King of the Fairies, takes revenge on his Queen and attempts to help a quartet of young lovers. Set to Mendelssohn's great score.
