Our audiences have shown us during recent difficult economic times that our focus on new ballets, quality productions and talented staff, both on and offstage, is right.
Your support and attendance at performances is an affirmation of our work. We are very grateful.
Having held most of our prices for the last few seasons, it has become necessary to make some tough decisions about our tickets. The result is a flexible range of prices representing excellent value and we continue to offer tickets from as little as £15,with a generous range of concessionary rates available to many.
This year the ballets on offer vary from that all-time favourite, The Sleeping Beauty in the autumn, through The Nutcracker for Christmas, to the joyful La Fille mal gardée in the summer.
Add to the mix the UK premiere performances of a new production of The Prince of the Pagodas in February 2014. This adaptation, staged in celebration of the composer Benjamin Britten’s centenary, and with scenery and costumes by War Horse designer Rae Smith, promises to be spectacular.
Alongside these full-length works we have three programmes of shorter works, which include the return of the delightful ‘Still Life’ at the Penguin Café, Elite Syncopations and a new revival of Frederick Ashton’s Les Rendezvous.
We very much hope you will join us during the coming year...
Christopher Barron, Chief Executive.
David Bintley, Director.
