A warm welcome

Welcome to Birmingham Royal Ballet's 2008-09 season, featuring another fantastic range of productions. We welcome back a selection of old favourites plus a number of ballets that have 'been away too long'.

As always, our aim is to create a varied and challenging selection of ballets with wide-ranging appeal - and this year is no exception. From the seasonal favourite The Nutcracker – many people's first experience of ballet - to one of our mixed programmes offering the audience an evening that challenges traditional perceptions of ballet, we have catered for all tastes.

Birmingham Royal Ballet performs in its home venue, Birmingham Hippodrome, drawing appreciative crowds from around the country and the world. Such passionate audiences inspire us, driving the whole team forward and allowing everyone involved to deliver a diverse mix of dance from traditional works to more modern pieces, all in the classical tradition.
