Dance offers opportunities for young people to learn new skills, be active, have fun, gain confidence and widen aspirations. It combines the elements of physicality, creativity and performance and can be used to provide young people with a variety of compelling learning experiences.
Taking a ballet from Birmingham Royal Ballet’s repertoire, the story themes, music and steps are used to engage the group in dance through which they learn about the Company, ballet and the importance of physical activity. They will have the opportunity to be creative, learn new skills and gain an appreciation of the art form.
Each workshop is delivered by an experienced dance artist and accompanied by a musician. The workshops are fully inclusive and designed to engage even the most hesitant dancer.
The learning team can provide a package to suit the needs of your pupils and the school.
