Volunteering opportunities

Are you looking for opportunities to get involved in the arts?

Birmingham Royal Ballet's ambition is to be recognised internationally as a successful and culturally diverse company with a reputation for excellence in dance development and performance.

We are looking for volunteers to join our engagement and participation team at regular events through our busy season, which include evening and weekend work on a one-off or regular basis. 

The engagement and participation team offers opportunities for people of all ages and backgrounds to engage with and learn about the Company. The dedicated team have a wide range of expertise and skills, and ensure that all projects are inclusive, enjoyable and empowering experiences and that the bespoke nature of the work enables each group to engage participate and achieve.


Dance Track

Is a talent-identification programme offering opportunities for children age six to 11 from across Birmingham Royal Ballet, who show potential talent in ballet. 

We are looking for volunteers to assist at the weekly classes. If you have a passion for working with children and young people this may be an opportunity for you.

Ballet Training

We hold a range of Ballet Workshops from individual classes to longer-term performance projects offering students the chance to improve technique and learn sections of the Company's repertoire.

Engagement Activities

Are a unique chance for audiences to have fun and find out more about the Company these events take place throughout the year and include Audience Open Days, Ballet? What’s that? events, Discovery days, Relaxed performances, Auditions, Audio Described performances and Touch Tours.

If you are enthusiastic and outgoing, and enjoy busy events and interacting with the public (our events offer an exciting insight into Birmingham Royal Ballet for all ages) why not come and help everyone make the most of these opportunities.
