Like so many in our industry, we are very disappointed at having to cancel live performances, but our priority must remain the health, safety and wellbeing of the Company and our audiences. We are using this time of reflection wisely; we have been thrilled to showcase our dancers and musicians’ quarantined creativity through a digitally streamed output of work, Home From Home; we have kept our minds active and our bodies fit, and our ultimate goal is to return, when it is safe to do so, with a renewed energy.
We continue to be hopeful about the future, and how Birmingham Royal Ballet can reimagine and adapt our plans so that we can bring the Company and audiences together in whatever ways that might be possible, as soon as possible.
Things change rapidly in this situation and we will keep in touch about all our future plans as they develop and evolve.
Until then, I say to our Company, friends, supporters, and loyal patrons: thank you for your support, take care of yourselves and each other, and we look forward to seeing you all again.
