Freefall Dance Company, Birmingham Royal Ballet’s long-running performance company for people with learning disabilities, will be hosting a participatory CPD Workshop at Birmingham Royal Ballet Studios on Friday 14 June. This practical workshop aims to broaden your experience and further your confidence in working with people with a
learning disability. Freefall plan to share their processes and practice, and their approach to dovetailing the principles of community dance and classical ballet.
The workshop is free to attend and will run from 10am until 12.30pm on Friday 14 June at Birmingham Royal Ballet Studio 5 on Thorp Street and include a sandwich lunch.
Following the workshop, participants will also have the opportunity to watch Birmingham Royal Ballet’s First Steps: Peter and the Wolf at 1pm. BRB’s First Steps programme is an hour-long, interactive show, specially created for children aged 3+ as an introduction to ballet.
Delivered in partnership with Fedora and Creative Europe, the company warmly invites you to join them for this unique opportunity where you will also learn of Fedora’s work across Europe and their up-coming prizes.
If you would like to attend, please RSVP to email@example.com by Friday 7 June indicating any access or dietary requirements. Please specify whether you would like a ticket for First Steps alongside a place at the workshop. Places are limited and will be allocated on first-come, first-served, basis.
