Born in Cheltenham, Laura Day trained at Corraine Collins Dance Studios and the Royal Ballet School. As a student she danced with Birmingham Royal Ballet in The Nutcracker. She performed the Principal girl in the first movement of MacMillan's Concerto at the Royal Ballet School end of year performance, 2010, and created the role of Greta Samsa in Arthur Pita's The Metamorphosis, 2011, which was filmed for Sky Arts, 2013. She joined Birmingham Royal Ballet in 2012.
