Birmingham Royal Ballet returns to the Grand Opera House with two shows for ballet and music lovers of all ages.

Music and Dance showcases the Birmingham Royal Ballet's world-class orchestra, the Royal Ballet Sinfonia, under the baton of Northern Ireland's own Paul Murphy, alongside the Company's internationally acclaimed dancers who are joined for these performances by Belfast-born Melissa Hamilton, rising star of sister company The Royal Ballet. These sparkling performances, compèred by BBC Northern Ireland’s Noel Thompson, will include classical pas de deux from The Sleeping Beauty and The Nutcracker, and orchestral highlights such as Vaughan Williams's The Lark Ascendingand Saint-Saëns' Danse Macabre.

For younger audiences the Company are performing Peter and the Wolf, a family adventure, a programme that includes a danced performance of Sergei Prokofiev's Peter and the Wolf, and an orchestral performance of Tubby the Tuba - introduced and narrated by our storyteller Owen Young.
