A retelling of Peter Wright’s production of The Sleeping Beauty, with members of Birmingham Royal Ballet and starring dance students from the West Midlands and beyond.
This brand-new adaptation of The Sleeping Beauty is performed on the main Birmingham Hippodrome stage on Monday 19 February 2018.
Following the success of last year’s Cinderella Dreams, we are again celebrating the breadth of talent in dance schools across the Midlands, and the region’s passion for dance.
The action in this enchanting retelling of the classic tale is based on Peter Wright’s production and takes place against the background of Philip Prowse’s exquisite sets for Birmingham Royal Ballet’s production of The Sleeping Beauty. It is danced to Tchaikovsky’s beautiful score. Ballet students young and old take on leading roles, and are joined by Birmingham Royal Ballet’s Yvette Knight as Aurora and Edivaldo Souza da Silva as the Prince.
Be inspired by these talented dancers – join us on Monday 19 February for this unique evening of sparkling entertainment.
