The Director's Appeal

Why support the Company? / How you can make a difference

The Director's Appeal is a fundraising scheme that works directly to fund the creation of new works. You can help by joining the Director's Appeal for £150 (you will be invited to five stage rehearsals per year) or by becoming a Gold Barre member from £400 (you will be invited to five stage rehearsals per year plus other benefits).

David Bintley himself came up with the Director's Appeal, recognising the importance of creativity:

'New ballets are the beating heart of Birmingham Royal Ballet and are vital if we are to maintain our exceptional standards of artistic creation and ability to entertain our audiences around the world.

'I conceived the Director’s Appeal so that you can get closer to the Company and learn more about the process of producing a ballet while making a donation towards its costs. It will give you the opportunity to experience the joy of new stories and new choreography like never before.

'New ballets are only possible with the generosity of hundreds of people, and each and every donation, no matter the size, will make a huge difference to us. You have my heartfelt thanks for your support, and I look forward to seeing you at the ballet soon.'
