Job Description

We're pleased to announce auditions (by application only) for all ranks within the Company, taking place on Monday 9 February 2026 at our home studios in Birmingham.

We are seeking exceptional, inspired, and dedicated dancers to join the Company for the 2026/27 season, with contracts beginning August 2026.

The audition will include a full classical ballet class, followed by the presentation by each candidate of a classical solo (applicants must provide their own music recording in MP3 format). Dancers will then be invited to take part in an engaging contemporary workshop, where they will learn choreography in a rehearsal-style setting, offering a chance to demonstrate versatility, musicality, and artistic adaptability.

Birmingham Royal Ballet aims for the highest standards in the ballet world. Hiring the best dancers available is an important part of achieving those standards. We look forward to welcoming a new generation of artists to our home on Thorp Street for this exciting audition.

Auditions are by application only. Candidates must submit all required materials in advance and by the closing date of 5 January; successful applicants will receive confirmation and detailed audition instructions.
