Jennifer Scanlon studied dance at Jacob’s Pillow, Juilliard, The Limón Studio, American Dance Festival and American Center for Alexander Technique. She danced principal roles with the José Limón Dance Company followed by more than a decade of work with the José Limón Dance Foundation as a master teacher and reconstructor/ director of Limón repertory. She has staged Limón and Humphrey works with such companies as English National Ballet, Pacific Northwest Ballet and the Compania Nacional de Bailado de Lisbon. She was on the faculty at The Boston Conservatory for 20 years and has taught for numerous schools, colleges and dance companies world-wide. She has coached such luminaries as Rudolf Nureyev, Alexander Godunov, Clay Taliaferro, Erik Braun, Lynn Seymour and Monica Mason.
