Trained: Dance School of Scotland and the Royal Ballet Upper School

Joined: 2002; Soloist, 2011; First Soloist, 2019; Principal Character Artist, 2022

Other companies: English National Ballet (1996-2002).

Engagement and Participation work: I was involved with the 2006 Romeo and Juliet project, Ballet Hoo! Ballet Changed my Life, which was televised on Channel 4, and the more recent Lost Souls project.

First role with the Company: At Symphony Hall in Birmingham, in costume, I held the bike my brother Iain needed when he danced an excerpt from Far from the Madding Crowd.

Dream role: The lead man in Balanchine’s Who Cares?

Created role: Willie in Jonathan Payn's Into the Ferment

Additional Birmingham Royal Ballet activities:  I am an Assistant Répétiteur, teaching class and directing rehearsals and I also work with the Jerwood Centre as a Rehabilitation coach.
