Wolfgang Stollwitzer

Born in Graz, Austria, Wolfgang Stollwitzer, Ballet Master, trained there and at the John Cranko School in Stuttgart.

He danced as a Principal with Stuttgart Ballet and Birmingham Royal Ballet, working with and creating roles for many choreographers, including Van Manen, Forsyth, Béjart, Kylián, Neumeier, MacMillan and Bintley.

In 2004, he retired from dancing, completed an MA and the RAD Teachers’ Course, and worked as a guest teacher with a variety of companies and schools.

He re-joined Birmingham Royal Ballet as Ballet Master in 2008.
