About Dance Track Enrolment 2026/27

Congratulations to everyone selected to join Dance Track in September! Please read the information below before clicking the Enrol Now button and if you have any questions please contact us at dancetrack@brb.org.uk.

From time to time Birmingham Royal Ballet will take photos and video footage to be used for the following: Social Media, Press and PR, BRB Website and Funders. As part of the enrolment process you will be asked to consent to or decline your child being included in any photo or video footage to be used in this way.

By enrolling you agree to the behaviour policy below and agree that your child is fit and healthy to participate in Dance Track.

Behaviour Agreement

The purpose of this policy and agreement is to outline the rules relating to behaviour within classes on the Dance Track programme, so that they are understood and agreed by the children, parents, teachers and chaperones.

The wellbeing, security and safety of the children is paramount and we want to ensure that all involved benefit from a great experience. There should be a mutual trust and respect between the children, teachers and chaperones. This allows for an atmosphere where everyone feels safe, secure, happy and able to achieve their full potential.

We feel it is very important to promote and encourage good behaviour at every opportunity. This includes verbal praise and encouragement to the children throughout the classes.

Our expectations of the children:

  • Do not leave the building until collected and signed out by the adult responsible for them.
  • Listen to the teacher when they are speaking and follow instructions given.
  • Take care of equipment - no leaning or swinging on the barres.
  • No food or drink in the studio and NO chewing gum (water is allowed).
  • Ensure that no jewellery is worn and that NO mobile phones are brought into class.
  • Work hard and concentrate - always give their best effort and never disturb the learning of others.
  • To listen, trust and respect everyone in the classroom.
  • 100% attendance (unless authorised) and phone calls/emails if they are going to be late or are ill.
  • To co-operate, make new friends and build confidence/self-belief.
  • Be willing to learn.

If a child breaks the rules, we will follow the following procedure:

  • Step 1: The chaperone will inform the parent/carer of the misbehaviour after class.
  • Step 2: The Dance Track Coordinator will be in touch with the parent/carer.
  • Step 3: The Head of LEAP will have a discussion with the parent/carer.

Parents and the Head of LEAP will be informed at each stage of a behaviour sanction.
